





Kaduna: Bandits kidnap pastor, five others in Goni-Gora community



Kidnappers on Sunday night invaded the Goni-Gora community in Chikun Local government area of Kaduna State and kidnapped a pastor and five others.
A resident in the community, Mr. Shuaibu Ekpa told our correspondent that he heard the sound of a shooting from his deep sleep around 200am in the morning.

He said as soon as he woke up, he climbed the ceiling of his house until the shooting subsided.
He said as the day brightened around 700am and after headcounts within the community, it was found that a pastor of the Pentecostal Church and five other tenants within the community had been kidnapped
The wife of one of the kidnapped victims said she has not heard anything from the kidnappers since they were taken away.

Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige did not pick up his call for inquiries and did not respond to text messages sent to him.
Plateau: Gunmen kill pastor, his two sons in Plateau
Gunmen have killed Reverend Musa Hyok and two of his male children in the Ganawuri community of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Plateau Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Alfred Alabo, confirmed the sad incident to journalists on Monday in Jos.
Alabo said the clergyman who was a priest of the Church of Christ in Nation (COCIN), was murdered on Sunday morning.
He said,” The command has commenced an investigation to unravel those behind the attack.”
NAN reports that Mr Song Moro, the Youth Leader of the community, alleged that the sad incident was a reprisal attack after the killing of three Fulani youths in the community.
Moro said,” Trouble started when some suspected Fulani kidnappers were arrested last Wednesday, which is our market day but later escaped in the hands of Fulani Vigilante who were to keep them before the arrival of security operatives.
‘The situation degenerated into an argument and later escalated to a clash leading to the death of three Fulani youths despite several meetings and appeals for calm.
” We suspect that the situation led to this attack on an innocent family that knows nothing about last Wednesday’s incident.”
Kano: Suspected kidnappers kill village head in Kano
Suspected kidnappers have killed a 70-year-old village head of Maigari in Rimin- Gado local government, Kano State in an attempt to kidnap him.
Kano State police spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed this in a statement made available to RPTVBLOG
He said the incident happened On 05/03/2023 at about 0305hrs in Maigari village.
According to him ” the police received a report that suspected kidnappers stormed the residence of Alhaji Dahiru Abbas a Village Head of Maigari and killed him when he played tough on them.
