Let the Weak Say, “I AM STRONG!”.
Joel 3:9-10 says, “Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’”

“Our deliverance begins when we are no longer impressed with the size of our problem. If I am fueling the lie, I have agreed with the liar and I’m empowering the liar. “If the devil can lock you up in fear it keeps him from being reminded of his eternal judgment.

Today the Godless men and women of the world are trying their best to obliterate the name and the word of God out of the surface of the earth by making mockery of the people of God through their actions and inactions but the Lord God of Israel shall put all of them to everlasting shame and ignominy! HALLELUJAH!

DO NOT BE DECEIVED INTO THINKING THAT YOUR WEAKNESS OR LACK OF ABILITY, EDUCATION OR TALENT HAS DISQUALIFIED YOU FROM DOING GREAT THINGS.

The Old Testament book of Joel is a book of prophecy, mainly discussing the coming Day of the Lord. Joel chapter 3 talks about God’s future judgment of the nations. It is in that context that we see the command let the weak say, I am strong (KJV). The ESV puts it this way: “Let the weak say, ‘I am a warrior.’” The NLT gives, “Train even your weaklings to be warriors.”

When the Day of the Lord comes, God will finally judge the world. Joel’s prophecy reveals the nature of the world at that time.

Clearly, only a deluded people would think they can battle against God Almighty. Sinful, weak humanity imagine they are above God and will consider themselves strong enough to fight Him. We see similar themes in passages like Psalm 2 and 2 Timothy 4:3–5.

In our text Prophet Joel speaks of a terrible time when godless nations turn their farming equipment into weapons for a final, futile battle. After the judgment, however, God’s people, Israel, are restored to a place of blessing:

“Then you will know that I, the Lord your God,
dwell in Zion, my holy hill.
Jerusalem will be holy;
never again will foreigners invade her.

“In that day the mountains will drip new wine,
and the hills will flow with milk;
all the ravines of Judah will run with water.
A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house
and will water the valley of acacias” (Joel 3:17–18).

One way to show your being wise, is a good control of what comes out of your mouth at all times, in all circumstances. This is because what becomes of you here and hereafter , has to do with what is coming out of your mouth.
Many have used their mouths to build themselves and their families and in the same token, many have destroyed themselves and families, just because of what is coming out of their mouths. Multitude of the children of Israel died in the wilderness by the misuse of their mouths. The journey of forty days turned forty years because of what they said.

How are you using your plowshare and your pruning hook for God’s glory today? Ask God to show you how He wants to use your skills, resources, and relationships to prepare for the great harvest He has planned.
