Obi: Don’t leave your base – Kanayo, Rev. Peace urge Ndigbo

Famous Nollywood actor, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo and the National Coordinator of PETER OBI MANDATE GROUP (POMAG) Rev. Innocent Chukwudi Peace-Udochukwu have made a passionate call to Nigerians of Igbo extraction scattered across the country not to return to the Southeast during the elections.
According to Kanayo, staying put in whichever state the Igbos are would ensure at least 25 percent votes for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi in all 36 states.

He said, “I’m making this post as a member of the presidential campaign council of the Labour Party targeted at Igbos across Nigeria.
“We have to preach to Igbos who stay outside Southeastern Nigeria to stay put wherever they reside. All these rumours of wars and attacks are just to put fear in Igbos to leave where they are and that is not going to work.
In his own remark Rev. Peace told Ndigbo not to repeat the mistake they made about 30years ago when many of them lost their lives and properties running from a war that never happened during June 12 election crisis.

“Now that God has remembered us by giving us a man like Peter Obi who is obviously on a rescue mission, we the Igbos must not allow anything to make us not to play our role by joining millions of other Nigerians who are doing everything possible to vote him into power come 25th February 2023”, Rev Peace stated.
Death will come when it will but nobody is going to die. Staying put where we are is the only way 25 percent of votes across the country will be guaranteed for our brother Peter Obi”.
Rev Peace concluded by advising the Igbo populace in Nigeria to know that cowardice is not a trait associated with the race so they should not be running when no one is pursuing them but even if they’re are being pursued it’s also not in our character to run away from problems, we almost always tackle every problem face to face.
“You don’t run away from war because someone may die”. He opined.
