The recent appointment of Engr. Emeka Muomah Ezeh as the pioneer chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission has been met with praise and excitement from many quarters.

Ezeh’s impressive track record, including over 40 years of experience as a civil engineer and procurement expert, has led to high expectations for his tenure as chairman.

Hon. Ahmed Mohammed representing the North-West, Chief Anthony Okeah representing the South-South, and Barr. Martin Azubike representing the South-East.

Ezeh’s previous role as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) from 2009 to 2014 was particularly notable, as he oversaw significant reforms and cost savings for the Nigerian government during this time.

As head of the BPP, Engr Ezeh worked to improve transparency and efficiency in public procurement, and his efforts were widely praised.

In addition to his work at the BPP, Engr Ezeh has held various other leadership roles in the public sector, including the president of Nigerian society of Engineers.

Engr Ezeh became the DG of the BPP on acting capacity in 2007 when it was established and was later confirmed in 2009.

Its a well known fact that from 2009 till 2014, especially for projects that go to the Federal Executive Council (FEC), the BPP under Engr Ezeh saved over 658 billion naira for Nigeria.
