“Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” {Lamentations 3:37}

Because the Sovereign Lord will prevail in His eternal plan, His servants should be encouraged to trust Him and to do His will.

There are times when we find ourselves in situations that are not convenient; we find ourselves in moment of sorrow, disappointments, discouragement and despair. Many of these times it is due to some utterances; some words of information; some words of facts; some words of reality. Though bad situation is real, factual and visually clearly seen, but it is not final. Many at times these negative situations are diagnosed and revealed by very professional experienced expert; the main reason why the situation seems like it is final. But hear this; they do not have the Final Say; Jehovah Has the Final Say!!!

“Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” {Lamentations 3:37}

Jehovah has the Power to overrule any say, decision or arrangements.

Remember this, and be assured; recall it to mind, you transgressors. Remember the former things long past, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, “My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure”; calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of My purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it (Isaiah 46:8-11).

When we look at the many difficult circumstances and challenge that people are facing, and the situation facing us as a country it is like the enemy is having an upper hand; it is like the enemy is having a final say; The say of the enemy is just a mirage and it is not the final say; Jehovah has the Final Day.

The Economy, government, lawyers, doctors, lecturers, the experts may have a say but they do not have the final say ; Jehovah Has the Final Say!!!

God has the final say on every battle; regardless of how mighty and powerful the enemies may be.

“Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass

AND I TELL YOU, YOU ARE PETER, AND ON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH, AND THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT.
MATTHEW‬ ‭16:18‬ ‭ESV‬‬
This verse, in particular, is one of the most reassuring verses in all the Scriptures. It is a promise—one with which many have found solace. In these turbulent times, many fall back on the victory of Christ. We rest in it, as we should.

The country is waking up now to realize that some people have taken it up as their agenda to subjugate and dominate the rest of us, taking over our ancestral lands and inheritances by carrying out ethic cleansing and unmitigated genocide against the Indigenous tribes of Nigeria thereby instigating a never seen before violence across the length and breath of the country

Such senseless acts of deadly violence boggle the mind. Again and again we witness violence in our communities – in schools, churches, on the streets and in our homes.
Yet we remember too the mercies and promises of the Lord that evil and death will not have the final word.

The Final Say is the Truth; Truth is Greater than Facts.
The Disease you have is a Killer one that has no cure (Facts) BUT God has the Power to make diseases disappear (Truth).
You may have no helper or godfather cure (Facts) BUT God has the power to intervene and raise a voice on your behalf. (Truth).
You might not have any hope on where to get your next meal (Facts) BUT God can make provision from nothing. (Truth).
Even though, the doctors says there is no womb for a baby; (Facts) BUT God can bring a baby without the need of the womb. (Truth).
Even though you have passed menopause and think there is no hope for children; (Facts) BUT God can bring forth triplets from aged body. (Truth).
Even though you did not go to school; (Facts) BUT God can make you an employer of graduates & professors. (Truth).

Even though you have been written off by people that you cannot be someone in life because of your background & present status; (Facts)) BUT God that has the final say can make you to rewrite Your family history. (Truth).

“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.”—Psalm 125:2

The changes of society may well illustrate the immutability of God. In the days of David, Jerusalem was looked upon as an impregnable fortress. It is surrounded by a natural rampart of hills; and appears to lie in the center of an amphitheatre raised purposely for its defense. By the ancient Jew it was considered to be an impregnable citadel. How changed now are the manners of war! A small troop could easily take the city, and it must indeed be a strong army that would be able to garrison it in its present condition. Yet whilst Jerusalem is changed, and the figure has become inappropriate, Jerusalem’s God remains, for with him is “no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” We must this morning consider the text, not as we should understand it in our day, but as we should have understood it in David’s time. David looked upon the city of Jerusalem, and he thought within himself, “No army can ever be able to surprise this city, and however numerous may be the invading hosts, my people will always be able to hold their own in the midst of a city so firmly fortified both by nature and by art.” In his time, indeed, and in the time of his son Solomon, I suppose it would have been utterly impossible for any enemy, possessed only of the tactics of ancient warfare, to have scaled those mighty ramparts of earth which God had piled about the city. And therefore, when David said in his day, “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people;” he meant this—”As Jerusalem is fortressed by the mountains, so are God’s people castled in the covenant, fortressed in the Omnipotence of God, and therefore they are impregnably secure. We shall thus understand the text, and endeavor this morning to work out the great thought of the security of God’s people in the arms of Jehovah their Lord.

“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

Though the Bible presents the Devil as a powerful and cunning opponent, it also tells us that Christians can have victory over this enemy.

Rest In God’s Promises

Finally, we need to rest in the promises of God. Satan has been overcome and the victory is ours!
