I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST: I AM UNSTOPPABLE!

IN THE DAYS OF HIS POWER SERIES.

TOPIC: I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST: I AM UNSTOPPABLE!

SERMON BY-:
Rev Innocent Chukwudi Peace-Udochukwu President Living Fountain Ministries Int’l LIFOM

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus therefore I AM UNSTOPPABLE!

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God”
2 Corinthians 5:21

That is quite a difficult concept to grasp. Everything within us resists it as if it were not true.

Please take notice: This message is not for the immature Christian who thinks that they have to accomplish a list of good works in order to become something in the Lord Jesus Christ or that they must maintain the status of Christian by doing good things. It is solely for the one who realizes that Jesus has completed the work and that we, through faith in Him, have become something in God; and not just something, but the righteousness that God’s Law requires. We are no longer considered law-breakers, but now, through Christ Jesus, we have come into right standing with God.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God”
2Corinthians 5:18-21

Once we have received the Lord Jesus as our savior through faith and confession, we almost immediately try to maintain or establish ourselves as righteous in God’s sight by doing the right things and not doing the wrong things any longer. Now, it should be quite obvious that if we are genuinely saved and love the Lord Jesus Christ that we should do good things and stop doing the bad things we once did. But that is were most of us stop; never coming to understand that through Christ we have become righteous. Besides this, even the best of the good things we do are considered filthy rags to God. Look at what Isaiah said, “But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are like filthy rags: we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is no one who calls on Your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of You. (Isaiah 64:6,7) So we must receive Christ’s righteousness in order to be truly righteous. Our attempts at being right before God miserably fall short.

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”
Romans 3:21-22

“Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.”
Romans 3:31

There is a difference between righteousness and right living. Right living is the product of righteousness. No man can live right until he’s first of all righteous. God can only require a man to live right after that man has been made righteous. This is the reason God gave you righteousness as a gift. The Bible says, “… they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign as kings in life”
(Romans 5:17 AMP).

God credited righteousness to you the day you made Jesus Lord of your life: He gave it to you freely as a gift. It’s not something you worked for. The Bible says we’ve been justified, that means declared righteous freely by His grace (Romans 3:24). The moment you were born again, you received God’s own righteousness. Consequently, you became as righteous as God is righteous, since He gave you His own righteousness.

Being conscious that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus gives you boldness and confidence to pray and expect an answer. It gives you mastery over the devil and his accusations. It makes you a champion in life!

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
— Hebrews 4:16

There was a period of time in my life that I was not living as I should. Everything spiraled downward and the blur of those years caused much guilt and shame later on in life. Although it was a short hiatus in my young life I struggled to get past a few events that happened in my late teens and early twenties. Every time I moved on with the Lord after that, it seemed the devil threw this stuff in my face to remind me of that shame. Each time I felt unworthy of the Lord and wanted to run and hide from Him instead of running to Him.

Only when you understand the complete forgiveness from sins can you have confidence to enter into the presence of God and boldly draw near to the throne of grace. The only thing that keeps you from fearlessly approaching God is your consciousness of sin. But sin is not an issue with God because Jesus has made perfect provision for you, making you holy and blameless sanctified by His blood.
So as believers we should not have a sin consciousness.

“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.”
Romans 6:22

The omnipotent, the unlimited power of God. THIS immeasurably great
power…is what God worked in Christ toward us in bringing about glorified sons
and daughters of God…because our state was that depraved, that helpless…
that hopeless.
The only thing in all creation that could undo what sin had done is the Creator Himself.

It’s His immeasurable power alone worked in Christ when He raised Him
from the dead that delivers us from the power of Sheol.

This my friends is the Catalyst moment this immeasurable unstoppable great
power of God thrust forth to create new life.

We get God for our inheritance – God gets US as His
inheritance and now….Christ our Mediator,..by whom and through whom all this is made possible is enthroned as head of God’s inheritance – the Church—who
are gifted by God to have such a King as Christ Jesus – one seated with
unlimited power and dominion supplying everything the body-his church,..needs
to properly function in His Kingdom to the glory of God.

I don’t claim to know it all. I am far from perfect. But I have learned a few things over the years as I have walked with God. I have learned:

— God birthed us for a reason and that reason is His divine purpose for our lives which is obtaining His righteousness through faith.

— Humans have an innate desire to ‘win’ in life, to succeed, and the only way to truly do it is to discover, develop and deploy into God’s righteousness and purpose for our lives.

— Living in God’s righteousness, Pursuing purpose, doing God’s will, does not exonerate us from challenges. It actually attracts more opposition than it repels.

— A human who is committed to become a conduit for the divine is unstoppable because the power comes from God, who freely flows through a submitted and surrendered vessel.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
*‘For your sake we face death all day long; *we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’*
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
-Romans 8:35-39

I am more than alive now because the LIFE God has given me in His righteousness is UNSTOPPABLE!

This boldness I have now defines my fearless passion to make Jesus known.

The Red Sea couldn’t stop Moses—nothing can stop you.

A fiery furnace couldn’t stop The Three Hebrew Boys—nothing can stop you.

A lion’s den couldn’t stop Daniel—nothing can stop you.

A barren womb could not stop Sarah—nothing can stop you.

A great wall around Jericho could not stop Joshua.
Prison walls could not stop Paul and Silas.

Death could not stop Jesus.
His victory has assured my victory.
Nothing can stop you!

Don’t let anything stop you in life. Life is not a bed of roses – even roses have thorns! But don’t be discouraged by the thorns; be excited about the beautiful roses, “you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus – the flowers.

There will be challenges but make up your mind to fulfill the purpose of God for your life. There will sometimes be temptations to give up but refuse to be discouraged.

Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me — the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his glorious return”
(2 Timothy 4:7-8 )

Be unstoppable! Say with me: Because I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus I will finish well in Jesus’ mighty name Amen 🙏.
