NO POWER OR MAN CAN BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST YOU!

IN THE DAYS OF HIS POWER SERIES

TOPIC: NO POWER OR MAN CAN STAND AGAINST YOU!

SERMON BY-:
Rev. Innocent Chukwudi Peace-Udochukwu
President Living Fountain Ministries Int’l LIFOM

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

When the Lord is on our side who can stand against it? Ha ha no one! Isn’t that awesome that we serve an All powerful God of this universe?? The God who parted the Red Sea, the Lord who healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind, made the lame walk, healed the leper, and the lady with the issue of blood, turned water into wine, raised the dead… rose from the grave Hallelujah! What a mighty and powerful God we serve! But sadly this generation has forgotten who He is and we have undermined His Divine nature!

“The exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
—Ephesians 1:19-23.

How dare we underestimate His power by shaming Him with our fearful attitudes? How dare we underestimate the power of prayer? How dare we lightly took Him at His word? Don’t lose it my friend, be filled with the Holy Spirit, share the gospel with boldness, never be ashamed of the Lord God! His plans for you are deep and special! When you cry He sees, He hears and He listens to every hurt. Go to Him and rest awhile because He has great things in abundance in store for you! Stay tuned with the word of God the Bible and He will sustain you. He will cover for you. He will contain you. He will be in favor for you. He will have your back no matter what! All you gotta do is pray, read the word, obey, repent, forgive, praise, be generous and love God and people. Amen!

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:5-9

The Lord told Joshua not to be afraid because not one of them will be able to withstand Israel.

The Lord helped Joshua win the battle by throwing the enemy into confusion.

The goal in this message is to make us understand that we all face battles of different kinds.
Be confident that God is with you.
The most common lie that Satan uses to instill fear into us is that God is far away or absent from our presence
Realize God is on your side.

“Do not be afraid of them,” the Lord said to Joshua, “for I have given you victory over them. Not a single one of them will be able to stand up to you.”
Joshua 10:8

The Lord told Joshua not to be afraid because not one of them will be able to withstand Israel.
The Lord helped Joshua win the battle by throwing the enemy into confusion.
The goal in this message is to make us understand that we all face battles of different kinds.

The most common lie that Satan uses to instill fear into us is that God is far away or absent from our presence.

Why they won in the battle? Because God is with them.

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Romans 8:

“I have many aggressive enemies; they hate me without reason. They repay me evil for good and oppose me”
(Psalm 38:19-20). Do you ever feel the way David did here?

People speak against you for no reason, betray you, or try to keep you from success. Enemies are something each of us has to deal with in this life, and they can try us in every possible way.

Our natural response to enemies is often to fight back, get even, put them in their place, or demand justice. We can even find ourselves distressed as we try to figure out why they are against us in the first place. The next thing we know, it’s consuming all our thoughts and causing us torment.

When you obey Jesus and respond to your enemies with love, prayer, forgiveness and blessing, you take yourself out of satan’s line of fire and make room for God to handle justice as only He can. You don’t have to worry about your enemies. God says He will handle them on your behalf.
How?
He will bring everything hidden into the light. Enemies can be sneaky. They will say cutting remarks to you no one else notices, threaten you when others aren’t around, or try to quietly cheat you out of money, opportunities or relationships. Even so, there is One who sees everything that is done in secret, and He says, “Nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light”
(Luke 8:17, NKJV).
Next time you have an enemy coming against you, obey Luke 6:27-36, then pray Luke 8:17 and thank God that He will bring everything hidden into the light.

He will avenge you. That desire you have for justice? That comes from the One in whose image you were created. He is the God of justice, and He loves justice. It’s good to want justice in the world, but when you try to get it for yourself, you’ve put yourself in His place. Romans 12:19 says, “Never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord” (ESV).

Under THE BLESSING, God has promised to deal with our enemies. Gloria Copeland says, “The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face. This is THE BLESSING; this belongs to you. They will come against you one way but flee before you seven ways. When you are under the curse, you run from your enemies, but under THE BLESSING, they run from you.” You may not see it firsthand, but you can count on Him to carry out what He has promised.

“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

I want you to understand that you are not alone, God knows what the enemy is trying to do, and he will not leave you nor forsake you.
We should face our struggles with faith.

As new creations we have been put in a position of power and authority– a position delegated to us by God through Jesus Christ. Along with that authority come certain responsibilities.
I want us to examine God’s Word concerning that position and the authority we have in Him.

When you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, Colossians 1:13 says you were delivered from the power of darkness. The word power is literally translated authority. You have been delivered from the power, or authority, of darkness and placed into God’s kingdom. Jesus said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore…(Matt. 28:18,19). That power was given to you as part of your inheritance in Christ Jesus. You have entered into this position of authority because you are in Him.

Jesus succeeded in securing all power by going to the cross, dying a horrible death, suffering the penalty for sin, and defeating Satan in the pit of hell. He came to earth as a man for one reason: to re-capture the authority that Satan had stolen through Adam’s disobedience in the garden. Jesus was called the last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45). After securing that power and authority, He freely gave it over into the hands of those who would believe on Him–you and me.

One of the most vital areas of the believer’s authority is his power to successfully stand against Satan.

Because Christ lives in us as believers, we can remain confident and hopeful. We are not saved by being steadfast and firm in our faith, but our courage and hope do reveal our faith is real. We need this enduring faithfulness to prevent us being blown away by temptation, false teaching, or persecution.

Dear brethren, know this: When you kneel down to God, He stands up for you.

And when He stands up for you, no one can stand against you.

“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.”
[Psalms 145:18].

“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
Isaiah 54:17

Just because we are under God’s care, it doesn’t stop the storms from happening around us. But it does provide incredible strength and comfort in every battle we face in this life. But the storms never have full reign, for right in the midst He reminds us: You are held secure by a Mighty God. You may feel some wind, you may hear the loud thunder and see darkness or rain all around. But His covering of protection and love surrounds you.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

A Prayer for Strength and Protection
Lord God, heavenly Father, you know that we are set in the midst of so many and great dangers, that by reason of the frailty of our nature we cannot always stand upright: Grant us such strength and protection, to support us in all danger, and carry us through all temptations; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
