“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
1 Samuel 30:8

In I Samuel 30, David and his men returned to Ziklag only to find it destroyed by fire and their wives, sons, and daughters taken captive by the Amalekites. The men were devastated and wept until they had no strength left. Though David had lost his family as well, the men blamed him for what had happened and they began to talk of stoning him.

David could have made a lot of different choices at this point, but his history with God paved the way for what he chose to do. Scripture says “…but David found strength in the Lord his God”.  David knew that God was his only true source of strength and he knew that time in His presence would not only change him, but bring a perspective that would allow him to make wise decisions. After his time with God, David had the priest bring him the ephod, and David inquired of the Lord as to what he should do.

God’s astounding answer to David is as relevant to us today as it was to David and his men in the midst of their crisis. “Pursue them, he answered, “You will certainly overtake them and recover all.”

God doesn’t usually instruct us to run from our enemies. At the least, we are told to stand firm and hide in His shelter while the storm rages, but many times we are then given strategies to face our enemies with the mission to rescue and recover what the enemy has stolen and more.

I say “more” because it is God’s delight and desire that we plunder the enemy’s camp!  We are not just to take back what belongs to us, but we are to retrieve even more than was lost.  When we believe in a good Father who promises to work all things together for good to those who love Him, we will walk in a grace to see this accomplished. The enemy’s plan to steal, kill, and destroy will certainly backfire on him as we choose like David to strengthen ourselves in God’s presence, and then walk the supernatural path of plundering the enemy’s camp.

So David went, he and the six hundred men who were with him, and came to the Brook Besor, where those stayed who were left behind.

Then David attacked them from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled. So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.

And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.

David and some of his men were able to overtake his enemy because they were determined and refused to be fainthearted or weariness, so we really need to determine and not give up to weariness. It is our strong determination that will make our pursuit of our enemies to pay off.

In pursuing our enemies, we need to accelerate or increase our speed as to run faster than our enemies because unless we are faster, we will never catch up before we can overtake. While pursuing, another way we can catch up faster as to be able to overtake is to use a faster means.

That is, while our enemies are traveling by road, we could take off in the air Isaiah 40:31b “they shall mount up with wings as eagles”; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

Brethren God is not a man that He should lie, neither is He the son of man that he should repent, if He has said it He will do it, if He has spoken it, He will make it good in Jesus name. God is the only one that can give staggering accomplishments, vain is the help of man.

Brethren there is something I want us to understand in this life no matter how popular or how much you might think that people love or like you do not put your trust or rely on them totally, because the Bible made us to understand that the mighty men of David loved him, they were loyal to him, they were ready to sacrifice their lives for their General, if we cast our minds to 2 Sam. 23: 15 – 17 these same men risked their lives and broke through the host of the Philistines army and drew water from the wells of Bethlehem because their General desired water from that well because he was in exile running away from Saul but yet on the day that he needed their encouragement they wanted his head.

There is a song that goes like this I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved by my enemies.

The Bible recorded in verse 8 that the Lord answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and recover all”

And The Lord is saying to someone here today Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all, not some, not a few but all in Jesus name. Every wasted years, time, gift, talent, resource is being restored by The Lord today in Jesus name. The Lord is granting someone Divine Speed this morning to pursue, to overtake and to recover all without fail in Jesus name.

Brethren there is something I want to point out to you in verse 11, the Bible recorded that the enemy made a mistake that caused David and his mighty men to have victory. The enemy abandoned a weak servant that was too weak to continue the journey with them and that was the servant that gave David and his men the vital information as to what way the enemy went and they were able to pursue. Brethren in this season of Staggering Accomplishments your enemies will make a mistake that will cause you to be elevated and promoted in Jesus name.
I prophesy that your enemies will make a mistake that will cause you to out-run, over-take and recover all you have lost or he has stolen from you in Jesus name.

*PRAYER:*
Daddy, my Father in heaven restore to me every wasted years, time , resource, talent, gift, intellect, divine health, joy, strength, spiritual authority, confidence in Jesus name. Father restore, You are a God of restoration, a God of second chance, Father restore in Jesus name.

*SHALOM!*
