Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion …….over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Dominion is a topic that many of us talk about but few of us really possess.

• Dominion in its simplest form is power, authority or control over something or someone.
• It is the ability to request or command and expect a fulfillment of that appeal. To have dominion is to rule, to be in charge.
• For a saint of God understanding dominion is crucial to his walk with God. A lack of understanding in this area could cost him spiritually and naturally too.
• Spiritual dominion is not arbitrary ruler ship. It is not about going around commanding and demanding at your own discretion.
• Spiritual dominion falls under the auspices of God. It is only effective and effectual when it submits totally to the will of God.
• Dominion is about knowing who you are in Christ and understanding that in you, through Him is the power to lay hold onto the promises of God and possess them until the day of Christ.
• Dominion is understanding that you can do what God said you can do,

have what God said you can have and be what God said you can be.

Probability and statistics is a math class that is necessary and useful, but contrary to faith, because your flesh, the world, and the devil want you to think that even God cannot alter overwhelming odds.
While math is true, 2 + 2 = 4, math operates in the natural realm, which God may or may not use.
We think naturally without faith; but we must learn to think by faith, without fearing probabilities.
Hopelessness is the result of looking and thinking by sight and math, instead of by faith and trust.

God’s Will for man is dominion.
Life’s ultimate purpose is for man to have complete dominion on earth over God’s creation as God does in Heaven.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Genesis 1:26-29

You have to choose to be different. People who take dominion are leaders not followers. Leaders often times learn through their test and trial. They learn through their experiences and they believe God to the fulfilling of his promises.
Be steadfast unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord for as much as you know your labor is not in vain in the Lord”
How many times in your life has the enemy tried to destroy you. He set you up for failure
He caused accidents, injuries and sickness, but God kept you alive, He kept you able in sound mind and strength.

Bring your body under control. Bring your mind under control. Bring your spirit under control. Watch what you say. Get your attitude together. Stand for righteousness
Stand for holiness. Uphold God’s word. Rejoice in troubles.
Worship with commitment, And stand in authority. Whatever that mountain is in front of you, take dominion. Don’t let it stand in your way. Don’t let it keep you from your place of power and dominion in God. “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”

It’s interesting that when God speaks about us in Scripture, we often don’t feel like the person He’s talking about. He speaks about us as if we’re already the completed person He’s making us into. For instance, He says that you are His masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus, so you can do the good things He planned for you long ago (Ephesians 2:10). Is that how you see yourself? He says that in all the things you face today “you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). Despite however you may feel to the contrary, God sees you in your wholeness and has declared that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus already.

God is certain of your ability to succeed. Did you know that God has placed in your glove, so to speak, the seed of a champion? On the slip of paper He’s already written that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. He’s already given you the seed that is going to be developed to cause you to overcome every challenge. Because Jesus Christ already conquered, He has set you free from sin and bondage and gives you the power to conquer. God has put inside you the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. He is saying, “It’s not whether or not you will win. It’s only a matter of time before you deliver that final blow and knock out the enemy.”

WALKING IN DOMINION”. The bible confirms this thus: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:28). The first act of God to man after creation was declaring blessings upon mankind. Also, the first commandment God gave to man was to walk in dominion. So the original intention of God for creating human being is to have dominion. In other words, if man does not walk in dominion he is living in disobedience to the commandment of God. For us to walk in dominion God gave us four important things we must do, namely, to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it. Before God gave us these four commands he had embedded in us the potentiality to actualize them. Also, all of them have to be combined before man could be said to be complete in his obedience to God’s commandment. To be fruitful simply means to be productive by means of bringing into existence what was not there previously. This is also multi-dimensional in meaning in the sense that the totality of your being must be fruitful. So to be fruitful goes beyond the fruit of the womb. Your thoughts must produce fruit, so also is your hands. Not that alone, your spirit must also produce fruit as enunciated in Galatians 5:22-23. All these fruits must also be brought in due season as mention in Psalm 1:3. For the fig tree attracted a curse from Jesus Christ because of its failure to bring forth fruits in due season. The lesson here is that we have to be complete both in timing and activities in our fruitfulness so that we can be called a fruitful bough by a well like Joseph (Genesis 49:22). After being productive, God also commanded us to multiply the fruits we have produced. To multiply means to increase, expand, and to exceed in number, size and depth. Genesis 26:12-14 vividly illustrates the principle of sowing and multiplication. In fact, Genesis 26:13 states clearly that the man was great, and went forward (multiply), and grew until he became very great. After multiplication God commanded us to replenish (fill the earth). This means to occupy the available space and to overwhelm the earth with your presence. The last of the commandment is for us to subdue the earth and this means to exercise control on what you have and sustain them. By extension it means to conquer exceptional barriers. Meanwhile, it is important to note that all these pre-requisites for walking in dominion usually come with opposition from the forces of darkness hence the need to have the word of God dwell richly in you (Colossians 3:16). To this end, I decree that henceforth you will begin to operate and walk in the power of dominion in Jesus name.
