The God that you and I serve is a Covenant keeping God. God established His covenant with Abraham (Gen. 17:1-4,7). God told Abraham to walk before him (perfect, blameless) and he would establish his covenant with him and would multiply him exceedingly and make him a Father of many nations.

WHAT IS A COVENANT?
The Idea of Covenant. The term “covenant” is of Latin origin (con venire), meaning a coming together. It presupposes two or more parties who come together to make a contract, agreeing on promises, stipulations, privileges, and responsibilities.

Here is how Collins Dictionary explained the meaning of Covenant:
*“A covenant is a formal written agreement between two or more people or groups of people which is recognized in law.”*

Through the blood of Jesus, you and I have the right to partake of the Abrahamic Covenant. Galatians3:29 says, And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abrahams seed], then you are Abrahams offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise. (Amplified).

We are entitled to all of the promises, blessings and benefits of the Abrahamic Covenant. It is a part of our inheritance and it is up to us whether we partake of the covenant.

*“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed”*
Isaiah 53:5

Jesus left nothing undone at the cross. He took care of it all! Jesus bore
Righteousness for our Spirit
Peace for our Soul (mind, will and emotions)
Healing for our body

Divine Healing is a covenant right and not a privilege to the believer in Christ. The bible tells that *by the stripes of Christ we were healed.*

*“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee”*
Exodus 15:26

Divine healing is one of your covenant rights. It is not a privilege for you to be healed. It is your right. As a child of God you have no business with sickness and disease. The English use the word “Dis-ease” because it causes uneasiness to the body. Every disease is a discomfort.

It is God’s will for you to be healed of sickness and disease, but it is God’s perfect will for you to be in divine health.

*“The Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”*
Deuteronomy 7:15 

The Bible is clear that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24), but why are there so many Christians who are still sick? The same reason that the world won’t be saved, even though Jesus died for their sins! We must reach out and take what Jesus gave us through faith! We, as believers, are entitled to our healing, but if we don’t reach out in faith and accept what was given to us, it won’t be manifested in our lives!

God has a COVENANT of HEALING and HEALTH with His children. He puts this Covenant into operation by sending His COVENANT WORD: *“He sent His Word, and healed them…”* (Ps.107:20). In the Old Testament, Jehovah-Rapha declared as follows: *“…If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I brought on the Egyptians: for I am the LORD who heals you”*
(Ex.15:26). Again, He assured His people: *“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfil the number of your days”*
(Ex.23:25-26).

Healing and health are God’s Will for humanity. Indeed, they are part of the Redemption package that our LORD Jesus Christ obtained for us on the Cross. Christ died not only to save us from sin, but also to deliver us from sicknesses: “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes WE ARE HEALED” (Is.53:4-5). 1 Peter 2:24 echoes the same truth: “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes YOU WERE HEALED.” Christ has TAKEN AWAY sicknesses and REMOVED diseases from our domains (Mt.8:17). Alleluia!

*“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him”*
James 5:14-15

*“When he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins be forgiven thee.”* Luk 5:20

This poor paralyzed man had not lain there long before the blessed Master broke the silence, and said to him, “Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.” I think that the four men up on the roof, looking down to see what would happen to their friend, would hardly understand what that sentence meant. They had brought him to Jesus because he was paralyzed, but he had wanted to come first of all because he was a sinner. He did desire to have his paralysis cured; but secretly in his soul there was another matter which they might not have understood if he had tried to interpret it to.them; it was his sin that was his heaviest burden; and the Saviour, the great Thought-reader knew all about that sin, so he did not first say to him, “Rise up and walk,” but he began by saying, *“Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.”*
It was a single sentence which declared that the man was forgiven.

Sickness didn’t come until the fall of man. Therefore, sickness and disease is a result of sin.
It is said that Jesus went through 39 lashings on His back JUST for your healing.
He shed His blood it was solely for your healing! Your healing means an awfully lot to God for Jesus to go through near death torture JUST for your healing! Your healing has been paid for with the Blood of Jesus! Don’t let the devil tell you otherwise!

Psalm 91:10 assures:
*“No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.”*
The Covenant Word is our covering against every evil; our protection from all plagues.
Malachi 4:2 affirms:
*“But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with HEALING in His wings….”* Where sickness has infiltrated, the Covenant Word provides for restoration:
*“For I will RESTORE HEALTH to you and HEAL you of your wounds,’ says the LORD, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “this is Zion; no one seeks her”’*
(Jeremiah 30:17).

Indeed, God’s perfect plan is not for us to be continually in need of healings, but to live in DIVINE HEALTH and Wellbeing
(3John.2).

Ultimately, our healing and health reside in the WORD: *“My son, give attention to my WORDS; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh”*
(Pro.4:20-22).

The Word is effectual medicine for ALL of our flesh and against ALL diseases!

Lord, let Your Covenant Word of Health empower my faith to walk in Divine Health and Wellbeing in Jesus’ Name.
