TOPIC: WE SERVE AN IMPOSSIBILITY SPECIALIST… GOD

“And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God”
(Luke 18:27)

Dear Fellow-Redeemed & Saints in the Lord:
All things are possible with God. Today our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ teaches us that even the impossible becomes possible. Maybe in your lifetime you have seen the impossible become possi-ble. If not in your lifetime maybe in your parents’ lifetime the impossible became possible. There were many things that were impossible but became possible since the turn of the century. In the early 1900’s nobody thought about flying. It wasn’t long when the Wright brothers invented the airplane. It wasn’t long, not even in the 1950’s yet, where the people thought about walking on the moon was impossible. However, in the late1970’s people did just that. The impossible had become possible. Maybe there are many impossible things in your life that you can remember that became possible.
Those examples were just what man can do. Think about what God does–how the Lord God easily makes the impossible become possible. We were born into this world as enemies of God. In spite of that fatal flaw, God makes us his children, members of his heavenly family. The impossible becomes possible. It is all by God’s grace. Paul describes God’s grace in Ephesians when he writes:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not of works, so that no one can boast”
Ephesians 2:8

In the story where we lifted our text, a young man comes to Jesus and his disciples. The disciples are with Jesus to hear all the questions of the young man and the answer Jesus gives. Maybe at the very beginning of our text you noticed the flaw or the mistaken idea of this man when he asked his question. “As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him.” It seems as though he was going to wor-ship Jesus; but yet, he says, “’Good teacher,’ he asked, ’what must I do to inherit eternal life?’” There is the fatal flaw of this young man. “What must I do?” This man was putting the emphasis on himself and what he could do to save himself. As we get to the end of our text, we find out this is impossible. Man cannot save himself.
But what is impossible with man is always possible with the impossibility specialist…. GOD

One cannot fathom the beauty of the Lord and His magnificence. Look around you and see how the natural environment functions. The mountains, the sky, the birds in the air and you can go on and on, there’s no limit to the great wonders of the Lord. Not only that, the Bible is a huge collection of His infinite wisdom and miracles that God has done for His people. That’s why the Bible says that His name is ‘wonderful’ (Isaiah 9:6).

Your religious life is every day to be a proof that God works impossibilities; your religious life is to be a series of impossibilities made possible and actual by Gods almighty power. That is what the Christian needs. He has an almighty God that he worships, and he must learn to understand that he does not need a little of Gods power, but he needs-with reverence be it said-the whole of Gods omnipotence to keep him right, and to live like a Christian.

The whole of Christianity is a work of Gods omnipotence. Look at the birth of Christ Jesus. That was a miracle of divine power, and it was said to Mary: “With God nothing shall be impossible.” It was the omnipotence of God. Look at Christs resurrection. We are taught that it was according to the exceeding greatness of His mighty power that God raised Christ from the dead.

Every tree must grow on the root from which it springs. An oak tree three hundred years old grows all the time on the one root from which it had its beginning. Christianity had its beginning in the omnipotence of God, and in every soul it must have its continuance in that omnipotence. All the possibilities of the higher Christian life have their origin in a new apprehension of Christs power to work all Gods will in us.

Are you facing a seemingly impossible situation? Is what you’re asking God for seem unlikely to come to pass? Is your faith being tested?
Perhaps, you feel completely trapped, hedged in and overwhelmed, with no solution in sight.

Maybe you’re confronted with a challenge where there is no resolution. Or, your heart is heavy with doubt as you can’t figure out what to do next, for there appears to be nothing you can do about what you now face. On an emotional rollercoaster, you could be wondering, “How can things change for the better?”

However, impossibilities are the platforms upon which God does His best work. Have faith. With man it may be impossible. But with God, all things are possible.

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm. And you will see the deliverance of the Lord. The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.”
(Exodus 14:13-14)

Today, no matter what challenge you’re encountering, do not be afraid, stand firm and go forward. You have come too far to back down and quit. Trust God, as He is the omnipotent One. “God will guide you continually,”
(Isaiah 58:11). So, “Don’t be anxious about anything”
(Philippians 4:6), “God is your strength and power,”
(2 Samuel 22:33). For God promised to “repay two blessings for each of your troubles.”
(Zechariah 9:12)

And so, trust God even though things don’t make complete sense to you at the moment. Seek God sincerely in prayer. Keep hoping, keep believing, and keep persisting. There is no obstacle that is too big for God to turn around for your great good.

As it is with God’s love for you, He loves you because you are His. So boldly look with hope and confidence to the future. Every day expect the best that God has for your life. And in your mind’s eye, visualize the great Creator of the Universe going before you, standing behind you and guiding every step you take ahead. God has a plan for you and is working a miracle in the midst of your biggest challenge. Victories are forthcoming, with more love, more joys and more blessings, in store for you.

God can change impossible situations. He sometimes moves mysteriously, but will provide what you need in miraculous ways. And it is going to be far better than you can ever imagine.
So, do what you can, and God will successfully execute what you can’t. Nothing is impossible with Him.

Today, take your impossibilities to God. And your faith in God, will be rewarded. Today, as you trust in God afresh, you will see the manifested Glory and Intervention of the Almighty God. John 11:40 “JESUS saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou SHOULDEST SEE THE GLORY OF GOD?.”

Therefore accept this closing word. Forward, my brothers — forward! Whatever lies before you— the Red Sea or the rage of earth and hell combined — if God calls you, forward to it! He will bear you through to the glorious end. The Lord be with you, for Christ’s sake! Amen!
