“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
2 Corinthians 1:20
New King James Version (NKJV)

What a great promise of God we have today in that scripture. We see that no matter how many promises God has made they are yes in Christ. So through him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God. In Revelation 3:14 the Lord Jesus is called the Amen. We know that a promise is an oral or written agreement to do or not to do something. In today’s promise, God tells us that He is dedicated to fulfilling all his promises by a yes and Amen.

We serve and worship a faithful God! His word is limitless and all-powerful. We can find a perfect example of the faithfulness of the Word of God. Sarah did not believe for a second the promise of a son, but did God still fulfill it? Yes, Sarah bore Isaac despite of her age! And I just love the way God responded to Sarah in Genesis 18, when she had an unbelief laugh hearing God’s promise of a son, and the Lord answered her: ” Is there anything too hard for THE LORD?” We need to recognize that God is faithful and all-powerful.

“These present troubles are quite small and won’t last very long. Yet they will produce in us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever! So, we don’t look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NLT)

“Just as you’ll never understand how the mystery of life forms in a pregnant woman, so you’ll never understand the mystery at work in all that God does.” Ecclesiastes 11:5 (Message)

Do I believe God when He said that the plans that He has for me are plans for welfare and not for calamity to give me a future and a hope? (Jeremiah 29:11), and that when He promises, He inevitably executes (2 Corinthians 1:20) or do I just choose to ignore His promise and voluntary live a sinful situation just because I am not able to wait and believe His promise?

If people hurt you, God will heal you (Isaiah 53:4-5); people may humiliate you, but God will magnify you. He will give you “the oil of joy for mourning” (Isaiah 61:3); people may judge you, but God will justify you (Romans 5:1). People may hate you but, God will love you (1 John 4:10).

I encourage you today to trust and believe God, to take him at his promises and you will see that He will do exceeding abundantly above what we ask or think according to the power that works in us.
Amen so let it be. Thank you Lord for all your promises; I believe.
