FEAR NOT FOR ALL THAT ARE INCENSED AGAINST YOU SHALL PERISH!

IN THE DAYS OF HIS POWER SERIES.

TOPIC: FEAR NOT FOR ALL THAT ARE INCENSED AGAINST YOU SHALL PERISH!

COMPILED/EDITED BY-:
Rev. Innocent Chukwudi Peace-Udochukwu President Living Fountain Ministries Int’l LIFOM

“Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded; they shall be as nothing, and they that strive with thee shall perish.”
Isaiah 41:11

God will deal with our enemies if we keep our trust in Him. He knows how to make our adversaries – whether they be men or devils – ashamed and disgraced.

“Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced” is, in part, an outworking of God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3: I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. God has always crushed anti-Semitic nations and movements, and in the reign of the Messiah, He will crush them completely.

Isaiah 41:11 is such a powerful passage to meditate on if you are faced with the enemies of sickness, disease and demonic agents, be them humans or spirits today. Doesn’t it remind you of what the Lord did for the children of Israel when He split open the Red Sea for them even though it appeared like all was lost?
The Lord is no respecter of persons. Put your trust in Him. He can make a way when there seems to be no way. If He did it for the children of Israel, He can do it for you too.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. 11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. 12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. 13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
Isaiah 41:10-13

No matter what we go through in life we always can depend on God! His promises always ring true even when we lose hope! He never loses His Power!

Don’t give in to fear. Scripture contains the phrases “Don’t be afraid” and “Do not fear” more than 300 times. Dr. Charles Livingstone Allen (1913-2005) reminds us, “The Bible repeats the command ‘fear not’ exactly 365 times, or once for each day of the year. It is as if to say there is no day in our lives when fear is not a present reality.”

“The Name of the LORD is a strong tower. The righteous runs into it and is safe.”
Proverbs18:10

Dr. Alexander Maclaren (1826-1910) explains, “Only he who can say, ‘The Lord is the strength of my life,’ can say, ‘Of whom shall I be afraid?’”

You may have heard, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” However, we must correct that statement to say, “The only one we have to fear is God Himself.” We live in a “no fear”

In every condition, in sickness, in health;
In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.
Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

Sometimes the battles and the struggles of life get us down. That generally happens when we stop fighting from victory, and start fighting for victory in our own strength (Warren W. Wiersbe). We must train ourselves to daily appropriate by faith Christ’s victory that has already been won on Calvary. We need not fear Satan and all his hordes, for the Lord Jesus on Calvary, has already defeated them.

“But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.”
Isaiah 54:17

The promise of God concerning the church’s safety was solemnly laid down, as the heritage of the servants of the Lord, as that which they may depend upon and be confident of, that God will protect them from their adversaries both in camps and courts. First, From their field-adversaries, that think to destroy them by force and violence, and dint of sword: “No weapon that is formed against thee (though ever so artfully formed by the smith that blows the coals, v. 16, though ever so skilfully managed by the waster that seeks to destroy) shall prosper; it shall not prove strong enough to do any harm to the people of God; it shall miss its mark, shall fall out of the hand or perhaps recoil in the face of him that uses it against thee.’’

But these insulting threatening tongues thou shalt condemn; thou shalt have wherewith to answer their insolent demands, and to put to silence their malicious reflections. Thou shalt do it by well-doing (1 Peter 2:15 ), by doing that which will make thee manifest in the consciences even of thy adversaries, that thou art not what thou art represented to be. Thou shalt condemn them, that is, God shall condemn them for thee. He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, Psalm 37:6. Thou shalt condemn them as Noah condemned the old world that reproached him, by building the ark, and so saving his house, in contempt of their contempt.’’

The day is coming when God will reckon with the wicked men for all their hard speeches which they have spoken against him, Jude 15. The last words refer not only to this promise but to all that goes before: This is the heritage of them servants of the Lord. God’s servants are his sons, for he has provided an inheritance for them, rich, sure, and indefeasible. God’s promises are their heritage forever (Psalm 119:111), and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. God will clear up the righteousness of their cause before men.

Isaiah 59:19b, “…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”
Romans 8:31b, “…If God be for us, who can be against us?”
There are times when God deems it necessary not to deliver one of His children from a particular trial or hardship. When that happens, the child of God may assume that their faith simply wasn’t strong enough for God to deliver them from their situation. However, that would be a faulty assumption. But whether we are delivered from a particular trial or not, one can be rest assured that God is on our side. Oswald Chambers rightly noted:
Faith for my deliverance is not faith in God. Faith means, whether I am visibly delivered or not, I will stick to my belief that God is love. There are some things only learned in a fiery furnace.

God had determined to make Israel victorious over her enemies. He has determined the same for His modern-day children. The fact is that through all of the trials and difficulties we face, God wants to produce instruments that, in His hands, will be victorious over every obstacle. Faith and reliance in God is the only method of victory, no matter what kind of madness in which we find ourselves. Paul told the Corinthian Christians, “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Cor.15: 57). It isn’t God’s will for you to live a defeated life.
God is able to give His people victory, even in the face of the greatest trials.

“Fear not’ is a plant which grows very plentifully in God’s garden. If you look through the lily-beds of Scripture you will continually find by the side of other flowers the sweet ‘fear nots’ peering out from the doctrines and precepts, even as violets look up from their hiding among places of green leaves.” That’s such a sweet picture! It’s like a little flower popping up in the midst of all the other doctrines”

PRAYER
Lord, we need your help. We need your strength. We are weak; we need to be upheld. Thank you that in Christ it is not only possible, you’ve already done it for us. So I do pray that you would comfort and strengthen all who are reading this today.
