“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”
Proverbs 19:21

“The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations;
He frustrates the plans of the peoples.
The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
the plans of His heart from generation to generation”
Psalm 33:10-11

The point of these verses is that both men and God take counsel and both plan. But in the end it is not the counsel and plans of men that are established, but of God’s. It is all-important to realize that God plans the world and he plans churches and he plans lives—and his plans succeed. His plans take precedence over our plans. Our plans have significance and durability to the degree that God plans for our plans to be significant and durable. God is the all-important reality in planning from beginning to end. God’s will is for that to be known, to be explicit, to be admired and enjoyed.

This has several implications. First is that we should hand over all our plans for this year completely over unto Him because only his plan and counsel shall stand. Second, it means God’s purpose and plans for your life shall stand irrespective of opposition and counter plans of devil and its agents. Third, God is also reminding us of His omnipotence and sovereignty. Bible says of God as “declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”
(Isaiah 46:10).

The king is not saved by a mighty army;
A warrior is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a false hope for victory;
Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength”
Psalm 33:16-17

Here we move beyond planning to implementation and resources, but the point is the same. No matter how great our resources, victory belongs to the Lord. A king may have a mighty army and strong warriors; his horses may have great strength. But on the day of battle God alone decides who wins. And God can make the stronger or the weaker win—whichever his plan determines. He has a thousand ways of making the weaker triumph over the stronger, and getting glory for his own name.

It does not matter the kind of confrontations, challenges, or economic situation in the land; only the counsel of the Lord shall stand.

WHAT IS THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD?
It is the Word of God: The Word of God is heavier than the weapons of men. It is more than able to handle the imaginations, orchestrations, permutations and machinations of men.
It is the Purpose of God: It is only what God has ordained that shall stand. It does not matter what people wish or what the devil has calculated against your life and your family, it is only what God has purposed and designed concerning your life that shall stand.

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the Son of Man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My Mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten My Word to perform I”.

No matter what happens, God’s Holy Word is irrevocable. God and His Words are One. The First war on the planet Earth was the WAR OF WORDS between Adam, Eve and Satan. The enemy is always fighting to supplant God’s promises and God’s Holy Word in your life. The enemy is asking, ‘has God said?’ And God is ever standing by His Word to perform it.
(Proverbs 21:30-31) “There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD”. Everyday, the enemy is waging a war to steal the promises of God concerning your healing, ‘ prosperity and ‘ breakthrough. God’s Word is final in your life. When the enemy came to tempt JESUS, He overcame by declaring what God has said. JESUS said: “It is written.”
The Living Word of God can never be nullified. Take your stand today, for God has the final say. God is not a man that would lie neither the Son of Man that He would repent. Heaven and earth may pass away, but God’s Word stands fulfilled in your life. If you don’t quit, the enemy will surely quit. (Isaiah 40:8) “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the WORD OF OUR GOD SHALL STAND FOREVER”. Jehovah God will never retract His Word. (Psalm 89:34)
“My covenant will
I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips”
God is not a covenant breaker. What He has promised stands fulfilled now in your life. Keep on declaring God’s Word over your situation. The Word of God will surely produce in your life. (Matthew 8:8) “BUT SPEAK THE WORD ONLY, and my servant shall be healed”.
Get your miracle through the Word. You will surely win with the Word of God. (Proverbs 30:5) “Every Word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him”.
The Word of God will surely break all barriers and bring into existence what has never existed in your life. (Hebrews 4:12)
“For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
Hold on to God’s Holy Word and promises. Be fully persuaded, what God has promised, He will surely perform. God’s Word works. Choose to believe.
(Luke 1:45) “And blessed is she that believed: for THERE SHALL BE A PERFORMANCE of those things which were told her from the LORD”.

PRAYER:
Father God, I thank you for your Precious Holy Word. Your Word is irrevocable and pure. I stand on Your Holy Promises. I refuse to Quit. I am blessed because I trust in You. (Jeremiah 17:7). I am healed by the stripes of JESUS. I am healed, blessed and lifted on the Authority of Your Holy Word. The LORD is for me; no one will ever be against me. God’s Word Works in my life in JESUS MIGHTY NAME.
